India Today Conclave 2019: Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa speaks on the paradigm shift in the IAF

The GDP, the Kashmir situation, the economic slowdown, the embattled auto sector, and the water crisis would be in focus over the next two days at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai.

The two-day India Today Conclave, Mumbai edition, 2019 started on Friday with the welcome address by Aroon Purie.
The India Today Conclave soared a new height when Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa graced the occasion and spoke about the changing role of the Indian Air Force.
After a riveting session on the state of the Indian economy with RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das where we got his lie reaction to the corporate tax rebates announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the discussion moved on to a panel of economists -- Shamika Ravi (member of PM's economic advisory council), Roopa Purushothaman (chief economist at Tata Sons Ltd) and Ritu Dewan (VP, Indian Society of Labour Economics).
The GDP growth for the first quarter of the financial year 2019-20 dropped to five per cent, a sharp decline of 0.8 per cent points compared to the last quarter that ended in March.
Not just the GDP, the Kashmir situation, the economic slowdown, the embattled auto sector, and the water crisis would also be in focus over the next two days at the India Today Conclave in Mumbai.
Union ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal will also be among the speakers on Day 1 of the India Today Conclave Mumbai. Over two different sessions, the ministers will speak on Indian enterprises and industries. Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa would also address the Conclave on the changing role of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The air force has been in focus this year for the Balakot airstrike it carried out in Pakistan.
Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (MoS), PMO would also speak on the Day 1 on the Modi-Shah gamble in Kashmir and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija will offer a people's perspective on Article 370.
The Day 1 of the Indian Today Conclave Mumbai will also see celebrities such as Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar and Arjun Kapoor sharing their thoughts.
INDIA TODAY CONCLAVE: DAY 2
The Day 2 of the India Today Conclave Mumbai will be kicked off with political discussions. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who faces a re-election bid later this year in the assembly polls, will assess his term and explain why he believes he is the best man for the job.
The next session will be addressed by Shiv Sena's youth president Aaditya Thackeray who would be sharing his thoughts on how he plans to rewrite the Maharashtra playbook.
Day 2 will also feature interesting discussions on India's water crisis, how automation and artificial intelligence will affect the workforce, how sex robots could impact human sexuality, and the most cutting-edge discoveries made about the human brain.
Shahid Kapoor, Kartina Kaif, Ekta Kapoor and Kriti Sanon will headline the Day 2 of the India Today Conclave Mumbai.
